We volunteered at Sailability, where John and his team warmly welcomed us.
Sailability is an international initiative that gives people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to enjoy sailing safely. It was a special opportunity for the students to meet local people, volunteer in Australia, and use English outside the classroom.
Everyone learned how to assemble the boats ant work together as a team.
The instructions were given in English, so the students listened carefully, watched, helped each other, and took action.
They were proactive throughout the activity and always willing to help!
After preparing the boats, the students rode in a rescue boat and experienced sailing.
There were a few nervous faces at first, but soon everyone started to relax and enjoy being out on the water.
John was impressed by the students and told us,
“ This year's group was exceptional! "
Well done, everyone!
